edeal Services Corporation has created the following Privacy Statement and Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting the privacy of registered edeal members. Please review this information carefully before returning to our User Guide.

"Privacy is very important to us. edeal does not sell, rent or otherwise release registered user information to third parties and this information is not used for marketing purposes.
We do not voluntarily allow your e-mail address or any other personal information to be displayed anywhere on our website, except

We use your Internet Protocol (IP) address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website.
Your IP address is also used to help identify you as a unique member and guide your site activity. In the event of fraudulent trading activity on edeal, your IP address may be released to the appropriate authorities at edeal's sole discretion to assist them in on-line fraud investigation.

Cookies are small files that websites store on your hard drive to help their servers keep track of, and manage, your return sessions. Cookies are designed to read only the information in the cookie files, not other files on your hard drive. An example of this is when a browser stores your User ID and Password. edeal only employs "session cookies", which are automatically deleted at the end of a session. An HTTP Cookie cannot be used to get data from your hard drive, get your e-mail address or steal sensitive information about your person.
Due to the specialized requirements of your edeal trading activity, your browser's cookies must be enabled each time you access our registered members' services such as listing an item, placing bids or visiting your Control Center. For more information about cookies click here.

edeal's registration form requires members to provide valid contact information. We use this contact information to do the following:
- We use your name and address if we need to send you a check for using our
 service.
- We use your e-mail address to send you confirmations and updates about bids that have been placed on your items.
- We use your e-mail address to send you information about our company. You may opt-out of receiving future
mailings by logging on to the registration page and clicking the option off.
- We give your e-mail address to the seller if you have a question for the seller or are the winning bidder.
- We use your Logon ID to identify you as a registered member of the edeal community.
- We use your telephone number as back-up contact info for transactions where e-mail is not deliverable, or in case we need to contact you to resolve a dispute in a timely manner.
After you have logged on, you can review and update your registration information from the Registration page at anytime.

All credit card transactions are processed through our Secure Merchant website. When you make a or account payment to edeal,
you are actually working with a separate third party company. edeal does not have access to your credit card number
or associated personal information.

Our Customer Service Form solicits only basic information from you. It asks if you are a buyer and/or seller, if you are happy or unhappy with our service, and allows you to forward a comment according to subject to our administrators.

edeal makes a Question and Answer Discussion Board, Live Chat and Feedback forum available to its members. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personal information or post potentially defamatory comments about another member. You are solely responsible for the content of all statements or remarks posted by you to the site through these forums.

Your password is encrypted on our server and cannot be accessed by edeal administrators or edeal members. If you forget your password, you can request that edeal e-mail your existing password directly from our secure database to the e-mail address that you registered with.

We ask that you tell a friend via e-mail about our service if you like what you see. This is not a venue for you to send spam or fraudulently obtain ipoints™. |
